Dulce De Leche
In a thick sauce pan; add 4 tablespoons of sugar and burn so as to
give the DULCE a dark color. Add the milk and sugar soon after and take to a rapid
boil using high heat. Once the rolling boil begins, lower the heat, allowing it to
boil without overflowing...Very Important!
At about 45 minutes, the DULCE will
thicken until it begins to bubble.
Stop cooking as soon as one drop on a plate
doesn't run. Pull from heat and allow to cool!
Cooking Time: 45 to 50 minutes
1/2 gallon of milk
1 pound of sugar
